The name of this fragrance was inspired by the Italian word al contrario, which means "the opposite way." The main theme throughout this perfume is one of contrast: sweet versus spicy, floral versus woody.

- Top Notes are Malt, Ebony Wood, Cacao Seeds and Stone Powder.
- Middle Notes are Vanilla, Orchid and Tonka Bean.
